The last blog of the semester

Well, it is time to finish this experience. I have written about a lot of things, I could practice my grammar and enlarge my vocabulary. It is a good experience in general, because you need to use different words and look for synonymous for some words, etc., and the topics are very nice and interesting.

Also, it was very interesting share my ideas and experiences with my partners, and of course, to know other points of view. I appreciate the things that I could know about my partners and how they had the disposition to share their life and thinks.

However, I think that this experience would be better if we would get feedback for each blog, so we could know our mistakes and correct them or will not do it again. But we had a feedback just one time, and it was very superficial, I think.

On the other hand, I think this activity could be done in our houses or in less time, because one and half hour is too much time for just write a blog. Maybe we can use the half of the hour in write the blog and then practice with listening in the other half hour, so we would be practicing English, every week, in three different ways: talking, writing and listening. And if I do not finish our blog in that time, we could finish it in our homes and then we would be practicing in our homes too. Is it a wonderful idea, right? Haha.

Well, well, at any rate I have enjoyed write my blogs and I have learn to think in English, because I have had to write with coherence and order my ideas.

Greetings for all of you,  my readings!

About dreams...

Dears! I had to talk about dreams the last week, but I forgot it, so I going to talk about it today.
Well, in our discipline, psychology, there is a famous author who proposed that dreams were demonstrations of our unconscious. That means that our experiences and feelings which are repressed in our unconscious can out of there through our dreams, but these dreams are not exactly like the experience or feeling that it represent but there are a latent content (experience or feeling) and a manifest content (dream).
This author was the father of Psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. So, this psychological theory is the most interested in dreams, but there are other theories, like cognitve-behavioural therapy, which use dreams in some cases (when the person has recurrent nightmares, for example).
From physiology, the dreams are the result of the mental activity when we are sleeping; this activity is characterized by a sensorimotor imagination which is experienced such as the waking reality.
Other persons think that the dreams are premonitions of the future or revelations of a deity. Mapuche people, for example, though that God gave messages through dreams, so the Machi was chosen when the person had a revelation in a dream.
But "dream" does not only mean an image in our minds when we are sleeping, but it means our ambitions and goals. I think that the people call "dreams" to some ambitions because there are things that they are hoping to reach, but they really don't know if it is possible, because there are ideal things or moments or states. So, the dream, the goal, gives us the motivation to do things and reach it.
I personally thing that the dreams are results of our minds, when we are sleeping, and this results have relation with our experiences and feelings, our hopes and worries, so they could be interpreted and used in therapy with patients who give to te dreams a lot of importance. But I don't agree with the persons that thing about the dreams as a premonition of future or thinks like that.

And I call "dreams" to some of my goals and ambitions in the future, because a think that I don't really know if I will reach all my goals, but I fight for that every day.
